News from Livingstone 4x4 Hire - Zambia 2005
Next year the town of Livingstone, Zambia, celebrates its centenary.
The official date falls on the 5th February, but there will be many events throughout the year to celebrate.
Events include.......
Livingstone carnival, Cultural Ceremony and tribute to the Zambezi River and Lunar Rainbow created by the Victoria Falls.

From our archives.....Total Solar Eclipse.2002
Zambia was one of the best places in the world to view this spectacular event.
On Wednesday, December 04, 2002 , a total eclipse of the Sun was visible from within a narrow corridor which traverses the Southern Hemisphere. We were pleased to hire out many of our vehicles to customers who wanted to see this breathtaking spectacle.

CAMEL 2001 White Water Challenge - Zambia
September 2001 saw the Camel 2001 White Water Challenge come to Livingstone, Zambia.
Livingstone 4x4 Hire were excited to be asked to supply the support vehicles as a co-sponsor.
The Challenge was organised by Tony Hansen and was very successful - we look foward to seeing all the Camel guys and girls organising another event here on the mighty Zambezi River in the near future.

Alan Whicker visits Livingstone 4x4 Hire
At the Destinations 2002 Show at Olympia in London, we were delighted when veteran travel broadcaster Alan Whicker visited Livingstone 4x4 Hire with a camera crew whilst promoting one of his forthcoming BBC TV programmes.

'Dream Boat'

January 2002, Livingstone 4x4 hire supplied a number of vehicles for a German Film crew for the production of 'Dream Boat'. The filming was carried out in Zambia. The local 'mosi-au-tunya Park', the Sun International Hotel and a couple of days in Botswana were the venues. A total of 8 vehicles were used along with our 4x4 truck as the equipment vehicle. Filming took 14 days and was a great success.
